Macropod today announced that AUDM, Australia's first Australian-dollar stablecoin issued under an Australia Financial Services License (AFSL), is now available on LMAX Group, the leading global cross-asset marketplace for FX and digital assets.
The listing brings AUDM to one of the world's most established institutional trading infrastructures, giving funds, banks, asset managers, retail brokerages, and buy-side institutions across more than 100 countries direct access to a regulated Australian dollar stablecoin.
LMAX Group operates multiple institutional execution venues for FX and digital assets using its high-performance, ultra-low latency exchange technology and matching engines across London, New York, Tokyo and Singapore. Built over more than a decade and tailored for institutions, this infrastructure now connects traditional FX and digital asset liquidity with tokenised on-chain execution through AUDM.
For Macropod, the integration marks a significant expansion beyond retail and exchange access into deep institutional liquidity: the kind of infrastructure that global capital markets are increasingly built on.
With AUDM on LMAX Group, institutions can:
● Access a regulated Australian dollar stablecoin within an established, regulated institutional execution venue
● Execute FX and digital asset trades with AUDM across LMAX's global matching engines in London, New York, Tokyo, and Singapore
● Use AUDM for institutional treasury management and cross-border execution, where available
● Bridge traditional FX liquidity with tokenised markets through a trusted, licensed AUD stablecoin
Drew Bradford, CEO of Macropod, said “Getting AUDM in front of the institutions that already move the world's FX markets is a significant moment for us. LMAX has spent over a decade building the kind of trusted, regulated infrastructure that global capital markets run on, and now that infrastructure can execute in Australian dollars, on-chain, in real time. That's the shift we're chasing: from questioning when value will land to knowing it already has.”
Chris Knight, Managing Director, LMAX Digital, added "The listing of AUDM further strengthens our role in connecting traditional finance with the digital asset ecosystem. By bringing a regulated Australian dollar stablecoin to our institutional execution venues, we are providing clients with greater flexibility to access liquidity and execute transactions across FX and digital assets. As institutional participation in tokenised financial infrastructure accelerates, trusted, transparent and regulated stablecoins such as AUDM will play an increasingly important role in global capital markets."
AUDM's growth has been rapid since launching in late 2025. It was the first stablecoin covered by ASIC's regulatory exemption for stablecoin distribution, has since listed on exchanges including OKX Australia, Independent Reserve, and BTC Markets, and expanded across networks including Base and Solana. AUDM has settled two of the Reserve Bank of Australia's Project Acacia use cases (a tokenised managed investment scheme and Australia's first tokenised wholesale corporate bond) and powers live retail payments in production, including at cafés in Sydney using next-generation wallet technology. The LMAX listing extends this trajectory from retail and exchange access into deep institutional liquidity.
